The band formed in 1983, toured the world, were staples on Boston radio airwaves, and found international success with the release of 1997’s Let’s Face It; driven by their hit, The Impression That I Get” when it reached the top of the Modern Rock charts, the record sold over 1 million copies. The band took a hiatus in 2003 and regrouped 4 years later. Their annual Hometown Throwdown (last happened in 2019 at House of Blues in Boston) was a celebrated holiday happening that usually fell the week between Christmas and New Year’s in Boston.
